Ryder Rowan Phoenix is transgender, nonbinary, gay, and asexual. They love to spend time with their husband, write, draw, do martial arts and qigong, study Daoist philosophy, teach, go on magical adventures in nature, play piano or sing, play games, cook vegan food, and edit both books and videos.
Phoenix read a lot of books growing up, but hardly ever connected to characters. None of them were ever transgender or asexual, after all. Years later, they decided to write their own transgender and asexual characters instead of looking to other stories.
